On Sunday 21 April 2024, wind players, educators, and music enthusiasts gathered at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance for Monash University’s Day of Woodwind.
The full-day program ran from 10:00am to 3:30pm and featured a dynamic mix of workshops, ensemble sessions, and masterclasses. Participants explored topics including tone development, practice strategies, interpretation, audition preparation, and ensemble skills.
With sessions led by an inspiring lineup of artists and educators, the event provided valuable learning and collaboration opportunities for players at all levels—from secondary students to professionals. The day fostered connection and creativity within the woodwind community and was a standout event on the 2024 calendar for many attendees.
