Leslie Barklamb Scholarship Fundraiser Concert – 30 April 2022
The Victorian Flute Guild hosted the Leslie Barklamb Scholarship Fundraiser Concert on Saturday 30 April 2022 at 4:00 PM at St Peter’s Church, 1038 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill. The concert featured performances by previous winners of the Leslie Barklamb Scholarship.
Program:
- Emily Ngo: Halloween Dance by Engelmann and Petite Valse by Caplet
- Caroline Fu: Hot on the Line by Wedgewood and Allegro (Movt I) from the Flute Concerto by Ibert
- Aria Chen: Allegro (Movt II) and Adagio (Movt III) from Sonata in C Major by J.S. Bach
- Emily Chapman: Sunday Morning by Ian Clarke
- Kylie Wang: Concertino by Chaminade
- Min Wu: Lensky’s Aria by Tchaikovsky (arr. Mihi Kim) and Tango Fantasia by Jacob Gade
- Piccolo Trio – Julia Grenfell, Andrew Macleod, Lloyd Hudson: Piccolo Ridicolo by Julia Grenfell
- Victorian Flute Ensemble: Adagio (Movt II) from Op.11 String Quartet by Samuel Barber and A Gaelic Overture by David O’Fallon
The concert concluded with a group performance of All Things Bright and Beautiful by John Rutter, inviting both performers and audience members to participate.
