Flute magic woven by one of the masters — don’t miss the chance to see world-renowned flautist Josh Batty make his debut with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra this June.
A dynamic performer, Josh weaves magic through his musicianship. He joins a quartet of MCO musicians for Mozart’s sparkling Flute Quartet and a new arrangement by Lee Bradshaw of Prokofiev’s captivating Flute Sonata in D major. Between these flute showcases sits Beethoven’s powerful String Quartet in C minor, bringing energy and emotional depth to the program.
Josh currently serves as Principal Flute with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, following international acclaim with over 30 orchestras and appearances from the Sydney Opera House to Buckingham Palace. His recording credits span Disney, Marvel, Netflix, EMI, Naxos and more.
