DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Leslie Barklamb Scholarship finals bring together outstanding young flautists for an evening concert celebrating excellence\, dedication and emerging artistry. This special event forms the culmination of the 53rd Annual Leslie Barklamb Scholarship Competition. \nThe concert features performances by invited finalists following the preliminary rounds\, including winners of the 11\, 13 and 15 years and under sections and the VCE section\, as well as finalists in the 18 years and under and 25 years and under (Scholarship) categories. During the concert\, the recipients of the senior awards will be determined. \nAudiences are invited to enjoy a program showcasing a wide range of repertoire and performance styles\, highlighting the musical development and individuality of each finalist. The 2026 Leslie Barklamb Scholarship finals are a highlight of the Victorian flute calendar and an opportunity to support young musicians at a pivotal moment in their musical journey. \nAudience tickets available at the door. \n[Download the entry form]

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2026 AGM and Concert\, an afternoon bringing together community\, music and shared participation within the Victorian Flute Guild. \nThe event will begin with a brief Annual General Meeting\, followed by a short concert showcasing the three Victorian Flute Guild ensembles: \n\n\nValda Fouvy Group (directed by Kaye Duffell) \n\n\nWest Wind Flutes (directed by Renée Petale) \n\n\nVictorian Flute Ensemble (directed by Carolyn Grace) \n\n\nThe concert highlights the breadth of flute playing within the Guild and celebrates collaboration across different playing levels and styles. \nThe afternoon will conclude with a massed flutes performance\, with all attendees warmly invited to bring their flutes and join in making music together. A relaxed afternoon tea will follow\, providing an opportunity to socialise and connect with fellow members of the Victorian flute community. \nAll Victorian Flute Guild members and members of the broader flute community are warmly invited to attend the 2026 AGM and Concert.
