The Fantastic Toyshop – Ballarat Flute Ensemble Concert
On Sunday 25 November 2018, the Victorian Flute Ensemble, conducted by Carolyn Grace, presented The Fantastic Toyshop at the Ballarat Art Gallery in the Oddie Gallery.
The concert featured music arranged for flute ensemble from Rossini’s ballet The Fantastic Toyshop, Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, and works by Debussy, Grieg, Haydn, and McLearnon. With a nostalgic toyshop theme and a whimsical program, the event delighted audiences of all ages.
Entry was by donation to the Gallery Women’s Association, supporting local arts and community initiatives.
